Bill Chipman
President & Founder
Bill Chipman established CRES Inc. in 1999, providing a full service real estate company that specializes in the sale, leasing and appraisal of commercial real estate properties in the Washington D.C metropolitan area. With an extensive background in consulting, Mr. Chipman has participated in the sale and leasing of over $800 million in commercial real estate transactions and over $3 billion of asset valuation over the course of his career.
In addition to his commitment to excellence in the realm of real estate, Mr. Chipman stays involved with the community through volunteer work. He has served on the board various philanthropic organizations such as the Fauquier Free Clinic, Boys and Girls Club and Habitat for Humanity. Mr. Chipman is currently a board member of the Fauquier County Water and Sewer Authority. A local native to the D.C. metro area, Mr. Chipman moved to Warrenton in 1993, where he and his wife Karen raised their two children, Kristine and Jac.
With over a decade of finance, operations, and marketing experience, Chris joined CRES Inc. after leading e-commerce and reporting & analysis for a mid-sized regional retail company. Chris advises CRES clients on investment sales, acquisitions, land development, and leasing. His depth of knowledge on business operations gives him valuable insight into our client’s needs, and his experience in local government gives him perspective from both sides of the table when it comes to dealing with local municipalities. An native of Warrenton, VA, Chris is an active member of the local community, currently serving as the Vice Mayor of nearby Middleburg, VA. He is also the co-owner of the PLAYroom, a boutique toy store in historic downtown Middleburg and was recognized as one of Loudoun County’s 40 Under 40 in 2022. When not working on a new project or spending time with his family, Chris can usually be found on a tennis court or in a canoe on one of the local waterways.

Junior Associate
Nick joined CRES Inc. in Spring 2024 as a Junior Associate and Marketing Assistant. As a newly licensed real estate professional, he is immersing himself in all aspects of commercial real estate brokerage, focusing on leasing while supporting the coordination of marketing initiatives and office operations. Nick also conducts research for CRES clients, leveraging his expertise and passion for land use and future development within the county.
A graduate of James Madison University, Nick has a deep connection to Fauquier County, where he grew up and developed a strong understanding of the local community and surrounding areas. After earning his degree, he returned to Fauquier and now resides in Marshall, VA, with his fiancée.
Outside of work, Nick enjoys golfing, hiking, and spending time with his two dogs. He is deeply committed to his community and aspires to serve in local government or planning, contributing to the area’s growth and prosperity. His local knowledge and dedication to community development make him a valuable resource for clients navigating the commercial real estate landscape.
